1888-S Liberty Eagle. MS-64 (NGC). Tied for finest graded by NGC, see below. Bold medium gold surfaces exhibit robust cartwheel luster and pale olive toning highlights. Not a rare date in most grades, but at MS-63 the scarcity factor kicks in, and at MS-64, as here, it is a rarity indeed. Choice and appealing with a strong strike and eye appeal to match.
