Lot Description

Nicholas Jackson Collection. Overton-126 is much easier to identify compared to most 1827s because of the two small die breaks visible in Liberty's lowest hair curls. Attribution gets confirmed by the extended spike of pale 2 of gule 5 through several shield lines. Overton did not identify die-states for O-126 but a die crack connects the bottoms of 182 in the date and the dies have clashed at least twice. Plentiful pale almond-champagne luster shows evenly on both sides, the grade plainly determined by the presence of several modest, irregular bagmarks.
