- 1884 Liberty Head Half Eagle. MS-63 (PCGS). A fleeting bidding opportunity for the astute half eagle specialist, this is a scarce Choice mint State coin in an 1884 half eagle. Well preserved surfaces are bathed in a bold blend of frosty luster and rose-gold patina. Sharply struck and sure to please. With a not overly generous mintage of 191,030 circulation strikes, the 1884 is an understandably scarce issue at all levels of Uncirculated preservation.
