155.1 grains. A better than usual example of this variety, cherished by collectors for its use of the first Fugio obverse, whose distinctive cross or quatrefoil after the date and the fine crosshatching in MIND YOUR BUSINESS make this a type all its own. Marbled rose and steel-olive overtones are more extensive on the reverse, where some fine surface scale is associated with the latter color, the base toning on both sides a warm golden-brown. Obverse a bit soft within the sun and at lower right of sundial, but otherwise the detail is bold for the grade and all major design elements are fully appreciable, including the all-important cross. A few fine scratches in and around the central obverse require magnification to discern, the texture satiny and the in-hand appearance smooth in most areas. All in all, an appealing example of this Newman number for collectors of all levels of experience and enthusiasm.
