1938-D/S Buffalo Nickel. OMM-1, FS-511. MS-68+ (NGC). Vivid ruby, lime-green, powder-blue, crimson, and gold colors dominate this crisply struck and carefully preserved Superb Gem. The surfaces are essentially flawless with no mentionable marks or spots to disrupt the beautiful colors. The most desirable variety of the final year 1938-D Buffalo Nickel, the S undermintmark is obvious above and within the Denver mintmark, which is also repunched south. Remarkable quality - amazing!
