1783 Nova Constellatio Copper. Crosby 2-B, W-1865. CONSTELLATIO, Pointed Rays, Small U.S. AU-58 (PCGS). 92.59 grains. Frosty and lustrous mahogany brown on the obverse (the NOVA CONSTELLATIO side), more golden brown on the reverse. Very well detailed and pleasing overall, somewhat granular at central reverse, with some scattered pits around US and some dark raised plaque below JUST of JUSTITIA. A very fine linear fissure is present on the obverse under ATIO. Good strong luster dominates both sides, making this a desirable high grade piece.
