Lot Description

1787 Fugio Copper. Pointed Rays. Newman 15-Y, W-6915. Rarity-2. STATES UNITED, 8-Pointed Star on Label. VF-30 BN (NGC). Most of the obverse details are readily evident, with some uneven definition in selected areas, including the central Roman lettering and the sun's face. Light reddish-brown with mottled dark-olive accents throughout. A pair of shallow planchet laminations are noted on the obverse, but there are no large or distracting abrasions on either side of the piece. PCGS# 898.
