Lot Description

1840-O Liberty Seated Half Dime. No Drapery. V-4. Small O, Repunched Date. MS-63 (NGC). Lively luster engages the pale champagne-gold iridescence on this otherwise fully brilliant specimen. Sharply struck from lightly clashed dies, with the repunched date features plainest at the 8 and 4. Drapery was added at Liberty's elbow late in 1840, creating a second variety for the date. Choice throughout. PCGS# 4322.
