1798 Draped Bust Silver Dollar. Large Eagle. BB-112, B-15. Rarity-3. Bowers Die State I. Pointed 9, Wide Date. VF-25 (PCGS). This is a scarce early die state for the variety, the obverse die not yet relapped with all 13 stars full and bold. Warmly patinated in a lavender-gray hue, some russet tinting is also intermingled along the upper-left obverse border. Minimally abraded for the grade, with ample boldness of detail to the devices. The reverse is rotated a few degrees counterclockwise from normal coin alignment.
