After 30+ years of certification, this is the lone FINEST 1929-D graded. No question this masterpiece is worthy of that lofty designation! We assume this coin sat undisturbed for at least 100 years (it sure looks like it did). The surfaces are pristine all around. Even using a strong glass will NOT yield ANY problems of any size. The dreaded right field has been tamed! A soft but glowing luster beams from all over. Wicked original colors of purple/green/gold cover 1/3 of the right obverse and small parts of the reverse. The balance of color is fully deep silvery original white. Miss Liberty and every detail are fully struck. You do NOT need a glass to see the split thumb. The eye appeal is superb! PCSG 1, NGC 1, CAC 2. This is the ONLY MS67+ graded. PCGS figured this coin at $78,500 in its Collectors Universe Value. One thing we do know, NO set has one!
