1844-D Liberty Quarter Eagle. Winter 5-H. AU-53 (PCGS). CAC. Medium honey gold with deeper tones close to the stars and around the devices. The strike is a little soft at the centers but all major elements are clearly defined. Good eye appeal for the issue with only a small reverse mark worthy of mention. A nice coin to acquire in AU grades, as mint state coins are rather scarce and of course considerably more expensive to acquire.
