Intriguing Blundered Edge Lettering Kentucky Token Ex Stickney-Ryder-Picker-Craige-Martin Undated (ca. 1793-1795) Kentucky Token. W-8810. Rarity-2. Copper. LANCASTER Edge. Blundered Edge Lettering. AU-55 (PCGS). 173.7 grains. The edge error is not denoted on the PCGS insert. Edge: PAYABLE IN LANCASTER LONDON OR BRISTOL, although its reads LANCASTERNDON after slippage in the dies. Deep olive-brown with autumn highlights. Nearly innumerable tiny marks are seen on both sides under low magnification. Die crack at hand and scroll.
