- 1856 Liberty Seated Half Dime. Proof-64 (NGC). CAC. Lightly frosted motifs and reflective fields exhibit a sheen of pale champagne iridescence that completely engulfs both sides. From an unknown but certainly not a large mintage, perhaps on the order of fewer than 100 pieces; the PCGS website suggests just "40-50 known." PCGS# 4434.
