1846-D/D Liberty Head Half Eagle. Winter 17-J. EF-40 (NGC). This is a handsome 1846-D/D half eagle, awash in rich olive-honey color. Tinges of deep orange are also evident on both sides as the surfaces rotate under a light. Boldly defined overall with a sharp, clear secondary D above the primary mintmark. PCGS# 8229. NGC ID: 25TH.
