As the most common Charlotte Mint gold dollar, the 1851-C is a great coin for anyone looking to add a Mint State example to their type collection. A satiny mint frost glows on both sides. The devices are sharply struck and the surfaces are clean and free from any serious marks. Very eye appealing for the modest grade. PCGS 19, NGC 58. The last one sold in the 2018 FUN auction for $2,640 and the current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $3,600.
