Lot Description: Ex Gerald R. Forsythe Collection, as noted on the insert. Tied for second HIGHEST graded! This is a truly marvelous SUPERB GEM, totally ORIGINAL, and very eye appealing. This beauty will delight any collector. A silky smooth example struck from a later state, so the fields have a satiny brilliance and just a hint of watery reflection. The devices are razor sharp. Both sides are dusted by a subtle tan-gold and icy-silver patina. The eye appeal is quite nice. PCGS 21, NGC 21, CAC 12. Prior to this coin selling, the last PCGS/CAC coin to sell in auction realized $4,818 in our March 2020 Regency Auction. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $3,450.
