Lot Description

1848 Braided Hair Cent. N-5. Rarity-4. Grellman State-c. AU-50BN (NGC). Light olive brown with a faint golden tint and traces of soft blue-green in the field recesses. One thin scratch from the chin and a few other small obverse are noted. Still pleasing for this scarcer variety. Grellman's State c, with a reverse crack extending from the ribbon end through the letters UNITE, a bit earlier than the most common state.
