Gavin "John" Rose Collection. O-113a uses the famously desirable "small stars" obverse, and in this die-state, there are many die-cracks visible on each side, along with evidence of multiple die clashes. Terrific luster quickly establishes the near-uncirculated status of this well-defined survivor, as it seemingly flows completely through the fields, although delicate friction on the bust interrupts the frosty texture just slightly. Steely bluish tone lies just outside the stars, ceding quickly to interior honey-bronze patina within.
