- The key to the series in all grades, the 1911-D quarter eagle is always in demand, regardless of grade. This is a nice Choice AU coin with minimal wear and good luster for the grade. Most details were boldly impressed with the incuse devices boldly rendered; the D mintmark is a tad faint, but fully formed and readily appreciable.
