Lot Description

A visually pleasing piece for the assigned grade, the otherwise deep rose-brown surfaces are overlaid in silvery patina. The in-hand appearance is smooth for both sides apart from a tiny reverse carbon spot on the ring above the letter E in WE, but accuracy compels us to mention a number of light scuffs in the right obverse field that come into view under closer scrutiny. Well centered with universally bold Choice VF detail, there is much to recommend this coin to both early copper type collectors and specialists in the Fugio series.
