Tied for FINEST GRADED at either PCGS or NGC. The presently offered SUPERB GEM PROOF Morgan dollar has deeply mirrored fields that really do present bold reflection, which provide a wonderful contrast to the nicely frosted devices. The frost and mirrors are just shy of a CAMEO designation. Both sides are exceptionally clean and brilliant. Only the slightest golden halo frames both sides, adding to the very high end eye appeal. A great proof Morgan for a type set, as the mintage of 1,100 is higher than most other years. PCGS 2, NGC 7. Look at this fact: the one that sold in January 2017 was the first one to sell in auction since September 2006! Clearly they DO NOT appear with any frequency. There are perhaps as many as 10 coins graded PR68 CAM or DCAM but it is possible that the Populations are inflated with duplicate submissions.
