1912 Liberty Head Nickel. Proof-67+ (PCGS). CAC. Beautiful surfaces are essentially brilliant on the obverse, lightly toned in iridescent sandy-silver and champagne-apricot on the reverse. Both sides are fully struck with a virtually pristine appearance that will please even the most discerning numismatist. The 1912 is the final Proof in the regular issue Liberty Head nickel series, the mintage 2,145 pieces. Survivors are scarce in an absolute sense and rare in the finest grades, as here.
