Lot Description

A spectacular – and original - 1824.  The surfaces showcase a panoply of colors.  Luster runs deep into the fabric of the coin.  The surfaces are virtually free of marks.  I wonder whether PCGS worried about the late die state which accounts for some softness in the strike.  The coin puts many AU 58s to shame.  From the Kings Park Collection.   Estimate: $800 to $1,000
