Lot Description
Lot 321 1801 S-219 R2 3-Error Reverse. PCGS graded VF-30.Very attractive glossy medium chocolate brown. The surfaces are smooth and there are only a few marks. The notable ones are a vertical planchet flake left of the eye (as struck) and a pair of thin diagonal nicks low on the neck. MDS, Breen state V, with a pair or arcing die cracks through UNIT to the fraction. The date is bold and the legends are complete. All three of the die-cutter errors are clear. A very nice mid-grade example of this popular "Redbook" variety. Graded VF25 net VF20 and tied for CC#14 in the Noyes census, his photo #59998. Our grade is VF20. The attribution and Nancy and Bryan Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label.
