- Lot Description
- A lovely GEM with rich color over highly lustrous surfaces. The Variety 1 is identified by the position of the feather tip between the I and C of AMERICA. Ample red clings to the peripheral devices and in the recesses, highlighted by a bold luster. Well struck with crisp definition, the eye appeal is excellent. PCGS 56, NGC 30, CAC 25. This is the ONLY MS65+ RB graded at either service, and sold nearly six years ago for $1,880. The current Collectors Universe value is listed at $2,400. Just 8 coins are graded finer in the RB designation. With MS66 RBs selling or over $4,000, this is a great coin for the collector looking for a very high grade example for their set. Cert. Number 32292712 PCGS # 2155.00
