Lot Description
Undated (Possibly Circa 1793) Washington Success Medal. Large Size. Baker-265, W-10900. Rarity-6. Brass. Reeded Edge. MS-63 (PCGS). An amazingly well preserved, high-grade example of this rare Washington Success Medal. Delightful coppery-orange toning covers the obverse, while the reverse is tinted in a similar shade, also intermingled with mint-green color in the fields. A wispy die crack proceeds from the obverse rim at 3 o'clock, extending diagonally over the portrait of Washington, and ending at the opposing rim near 11 o'clock. No post-strike marks or abrasions are evident on either side of the piece. PCGS# 780. Provenance: From the Cardinal Collection Educational Foundation.
