1861 Clark, Gruber & Co. $10 Gold. K-7. Rarity-4. EF-40 (PCGS). A handsome EF with dominant olive-khaki color to both sides, whispers of more vivid copper-rose iridescence do outline many of the devices. Overall light wear mingles with a somewhat soft strike to explain the lack of detail seen in isolated areas around the centers, although the outward appearance is suitably bold for a Colorado Territorial that saw appreciable commercial use. None of the scattered abrasions are singularly distracting to the eye.
