1868 Liberty Seated Half Dollar. Proof-65 (PCGS). A deeply original Gem that absolutely glows under direct lighting. Olive-gold shades dominate the centers, while violet and sapphire-blue iridescence adorns the rims. These colors are enhanced by strong reflectivity in the fields. One of the finest from a mintage of just 600 coins, only about 25 of which survive at the Gem level. Only 2 examples have been certified finer by PCGS in this category. PCGS Population: 17; 2 finer.
