Lot Description

1723 Rosa Americana Penny. Martin 2.24-Eb.7, W-1278. Rarity-4. EF-40 (PCGS). Boldly toned in olive-copper, both sides reveal intermingled highlights of sandy-gold and pale rose. Boldly defined from a nicely centered and well executed strike. The texture is a bit rough, especially around the peripheries, although this is a function of both pre- and post-striking features (die erosion, light pitting, etc.).
