Lot Description

1879-CC Liberty Half Eagle. Winter 1-A. VF-35 (NGC). Warm rose-gold and honey-gold patina is well blended over both sides of this moderately circulated survivor. Suitably bold over the major design elements, and free of sizeable abrasions, the surfaces are actually quite smooth in outward appearance. The 1879-CC (17,281 pieces produced) is rarer than the 1880-CC, 1882-CC, 1890-CC, 1891-CC, 1892-CC and 1893-CC Half Eagles in all grades.
