Lot Description

A totally original and VERY CHOICE example of this overdate Mercury dime. This coin has medium silver toning with deeper gray toning spots mingled with iridescent pastel hues enlivened by a delicate satiny brilliance. Sharply struck in general, save for some minor weakness in the central band. The eye appeal is very nice. PCGS 26, NGC 13, CAC 8. No CAC approved example in MS64 has ever sold in auction. The current CAC CPG value is $9,250 and the PCGS Price Guide is $8,000. Scarce finer, and rare finer with Full Bands, this CHOICE piece will fit nicely in any Mint State set. Cert.
