Lot Description

The Crimson Collection. Small date, with a flat top "7". The "no stars" obverse was struck for only two years and many collectors prefer the first-of-type issue. Especially for the collector who prefers brilliant examples, the untoned appearance and stark white presentation will appeal. Fields boast astonishing Arctic-white satiny frost, and either side also offers an intriguing die break, one below Liberty's foot and the other at that emanates from "R" in AMERICA.
