1809 S-280 R2. PCGS graded AU-58.Glossy light to medium brown mixed with a few puffs of darker chocolate brown toning on both sides. Fine flowline luster covers the fields and protected areas and this cent has excellent eye appeal. Looks mint state but there is a hint of rub on the highest points of the devices. The only notable marks are a short diagonal hairline scratch in the field between the nose and star 4 and a couple light ticks in the field off the chin. MDS, Breen state VI, with die cracks at the top of the reverse and a small depression over the left top of the M in AMERICA. Graded AU55 net AU50 and tied for CC#9 in the Noyes census, his photos #61059 and 61013. Our grade is AU50. The attribution and Nancy & Bryan Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label.
