1899 Morgan Silver Dollar. Proof-66 Cameo (PCGS). Soft sandy-gold iridescence drifts over serene surfaces on both sides of this lovely Gem. Bold field to device contrast is readily evident at all viewing angles, although the surfaces readily uphold the validity of the Proof-66 numeric grade even under the closest scrutiny. An impressive condition rarity from a mintage of 846 Proofs, the 1899 being one of the more eagerly sought issues of its type given the low mintage status of the year's circulation strike delivery from the Philadelphia Mint.
