An aesthetically and physically appealing Gem, a coin that admirably meets the standards for both categories. Heavily frosted motifs and deeply mirrored fields reward the viewer with intense cameo contrast. Further, the strike is sharp and pale golden hues on both sides increase the aesthetics dramatically. From a Proof mintage for the date of just 500 pieces, one of the lowest Proof mintages of the Liberty Seated half dollar design type after 1858. This is one of the finest seen by PCGS in the Cameo category.
