Lot Description

Steel-olive and lilac-gray patina is nicely blended on overall boldly defined surfaces. Moderate wear is commensurate with the assigned grade, the surfaces with a glossy texture that betrays an old, light cleaning. Several tiny pits and fine scratches in and around the centers are also noted, suggestive of hard use in circulation, as typically noted for early U.S. Mint dollars. The in-hand appearance is pleasing, nonetheless, and this BB-21 will nicely represent the Flowing Hair design in many type sets.
