Lot 251 1914. NGC graded Proof 68.Boldly struck with vivid mirror fields and well frosted devices. The surfaces are virtually perfect, notably on Liberty's cheek and neck there are no signs of handling whatsoever. The toning is headlight bright at the center of the obverse, then fades off to rich russet gold and finally over to deep blue at the periphery, not quite as toned on the reverse, but still attractive with deeper shades are the rims, bright center. Lovely obverse rainbow toning. Only 380 struck. Pop 6; 2 finer in 68 Star.Estimated Value $5,000 - 6,000
