Lot Description

A very scarce old west date $2.50 that had a mintage of only 28,000. The presently offered AU has some light friction in the fields and the devices, but because of rich gold patination, the eye appeal is quite nice. PCGS 14, NGC 19. The last one to sell in auction realized $1,163 in September 2015 (a CAC approved coin). According to our auction database, only 6 examples have sold going back to 1992. Not common at all. Cert.
