1844-D Liberty Head Half Eagle. EF-40 (PCGS). Deep amber suggestions line the rims of this bright canary-gold jewel from the Dahlonega Mint. The definition is considerably sharp throughout, accompanied by swaths of satiny luster surrounding the devices on the reverse. Just a few scattered marks are visible under scrutiny, though none of these show to the naked eye, delivering a fully smooth and composed complexion. An attractive piece for both type purposes and half eagle specialists. PCGS# 8221. NGC ID: 25T9.
