- 1787 Vermont Copper. RR-14, Bressett 10-K, W-2105. Rarity-4. Bust Right. EF-40 BN (NGC). Deep golden-tan with the reverse nominally darker than the obverse. Uniform microporosity appears in places on both sides. Usual central weakness for the variety on both sides, and practically a given in most of the Bust varieties in the Vermont copper series. Faintly off-center on the obverse toward the lower left, the rim close to the tops of VER but not touching, scattered marks apparent under a loupe, reverse with natural planchet lamination, as struck, from the rim and into the field near Liberty's face, neck, and torso, otherwise no marks of a serious nature. A pleasing example of this popular variety.
