Lot Description
A stellar looking coin for the grade with an extremely DEEP cameo contrast between the deep mirrored fields and highly frosted devices. Amazing mirrors beam boldly from all over. WOW! They also have exceptional clarity, cleanliness, and of course offer an intense reflection. Brilliant untoned silver with just a touch of iridescence that clings to the rim of both sides which is slightly more colorful on the reverse than on the obverse. Way finer than your typical 1901 Proof quarter for sure! VERY RARE with the DCAM designation, PCGS has graded just a half dozen certified as such, with just two approved by CAC including this one! Only 813 Proofs were struck. PCGS 2, NGC 0, CAC 1. This is the only PR66+ DCAM and there are three listed at PR67 DCAM. The only CAC-approved example to sell was a PR67 DCAM that brought $11,456 a decade ago. We believe the PCGS Price Guide value is all wrong at $9,500, and time will tell when this borderline SUPERB GEM crosses the block. Good luck. Cert. Number 45540883 PCGS # 95687
