Only 600 examples were struck during this Proof-only final year of this obsolete denomination. High end, GEM + quality surfaces have a deep, exceptionally reflective mirrored finish to the fields. They are clean and have a huge clarity. The devices are razor sharp and they are highly frosted, creating a highly attractive CAMEO contrast on both sides. Pleasing, peripheral golden toning on the obverse and reverse. The eye appeal is exceptional and borders on a SUPERB look! PCGS 24, NGC 15, CAC 16. There are 3 in PR65+ CAM, and none have ever sold in auction.
