- 1795 Liberty Cap Half Cent. C-4. Rarity-3. Manley Die State 2.0. Plain Edge, Punctuated Date--3% Clipped Planchet--VF-30 (PCGS). Exceptional surface quality and attractive medium brown throughout for this early half cent issue. The small edge clip is located above RTY of LIBERTY and only effects the dentils on both sides, and these are, of course, quite common to these early small denomination copper coins. Full definition on the obverse, the reverse a bit soft in the center as is diagnostic for this variety but HALF CENT is just visible although somewhat as a ghost image in the center. PCGS# 1012.
