Lot Description

1912-S Barber Half Dollar. MS-65+ (PCGS). CAC. Originally toned surfaces exhibit speckled reddish-apricot overtones to a base of soft pearl-gray patina. The reverse is the more vivid of the two sides, although both are equally lustrous with a smooth satin to softly frosted texture. Collectors assembling a Gem Mint State collection of this challenging half dollar series would do well to secure this lovely 1912-S, as few such pieces are offered and even fewer have the appeal of this premium quality example.
