Lot Description

28.5 mm. 118.6 grains. Glossy and very attractive olive-brown with a couple of small areas of tan showing through. One trivial spot is noted at Washington's collar. Nicely centered with reasonably good detail for the issue, particularly on the obverse. The eagle's breast is flat, and the central shield details are soft but present. A small natural edge flaw is noted near 7 o'clock relative to the obverse, but is as made and has no impact on the design. One of three different edge variants in the August Collection.
