In the “old days” this would have been called a GEM BU! The fields and other surfaces are clean and free of any marks A rich olive-gold-russet-tan patina blankets both sides of this satiny near-GEM example of the final issue of Bust half dollars struck on the old screw press. Save for the highest points of Miss Liberty’s hair curls, the strike is full and crisp. PCGS 60, NGC 92, CAC 20. There are lots of coins that are graded 64 that are subpar, this one is clearly NOT one of them! If you are a type collector, or a serious student of the Bust half series, look at this one closely!
