1869 Three-Dollar Gold Piece. AU-55 (PCGS). One of the tougher dates from this series as a mere 2,500 were struck for circulation. This shows attractive orange-gold to copper shades over reflective surfaces. Minimal handling marks and well struck by the dies--just what collector's desire to represent such a scarce date.
