Lot Description

1829 Capped Bust Half Dollar. O-112a. Rarity-2. Small Letters. MS-63 (NGC). Flashy satin to softly frosted luster appears to burst through the holder from both sides of this essentially brilliant example. Indeed, we note only the lightest toning in a pale, iridescent, sandy-silver hue that is not readily evident at all angles. Otherwise quite smooth, a few modest scuffs in the left obverse field are all that seem to preclude a near-Gem rating.
