Lot Description

1844 Liberty Seated Half Dollar. WB-101. MS-63 (PCGS). This lustrous pale champagne-gold specimen is somewhat prooflike in appearance. The satiny and mildly reflective fields run from champagne-gold through deep crimson-gold, with the boldest of the toning at the rims. Numerous spidery die cracks engage the peripheral design elements on both sides and are best seen under low magnification. A sharply struck and aesthetically appealing coin by any standards.
