Lot Description

138.4 grains. One of the prettiest examples of this die variety we've ever seen, with positively choice eye appeal on both sides. The fields are ideal chocolate brown, perfectly smooth and glossy, contrasting with the light brown devices. Under magnified scrutiny, we find just a little bit of roughness left of the date, a mark on the head of the seated figure, and some trivial hairlines at the central reverse, none of which impact the eye appeal one iota. The obverse shows broad denticles and some of the die edge around the lower half, while the reverse shows denticles around its full circumference. There is no one who collects Vermont coppers who wouldn't love how this coin looks.
